Grange Hotels is a now 6 property hotel group in London. It formally operated 16 hotels but recently undertook a major re-organisation and disposal programme. Unusually Grange also purchase, develop and build all of its sites and properties. It has a turnover of £4m (forermly £130m) with 120 employees and is independently owned. Steve is also CIO and is responsible for ICT infrastructure design and technology deployment as well the payment infrastructure of the group which gives him a unique perspective.

Grange is renowned for being leading edge in technology and product development in the sector, developing its own property management systems and software networks. They were the first in the world to install Hospitality smart TV - working with Samsung in Korea and they have advanced modular off-site design and build capabilities. Steve has made a major contribution to the development of the payment infrastructure both within his company and his sector, contributing in early stages of development of Virtual credit card system design and strategy and more recently assisting in the PCI DSS space inspiring secure products for the sector such as PCI Booking for fax.

Steve has represented the Hotel industry on the Vendorcom SIG for many years, also contributing in other spheres such as authentication and mobile payments. As such he is a regular speaker at European Hotel Technology forums and associated industry groups such as the Association of Corporate Travel Executives on payments and PCI issues amongst other topics. He is often approached by the main card companies such as American Express, Diners/Discover and Visa Europe for thought leadership and input for the sector.
