Future of Payments Conference

We’re just three weeks away from the Vendorcom Future of Payments Conference in London on Friday 1stNovember. I hope you can join with the European payments community in a demonstration of unity on what might be Brexit Day!

The venue is the Magic Circle’s Centre for the Magic Arts near Euston where the conference theme of The Magic of Payments will find a perfect setting!

As we approach the end of the second decade of the 21st century, our presenters and panellists will also be looking forward to what success might look like for payments in the third decade.

Featuring in-depth keynote presentations followed by extended panel discussions with Europe’s leading practitioners, Vendorcom conferences are unique in their business value.

The four topics for the day are:

Payments Acceptance: The one stop shop

  • Brexit-ready, international, multicurrency, all-payment-type solutions will surely be the way to go as merchants look to simplify their payments supply chain whilst offering choice to customers. Colm Lyon, CEO and Founder of Fire will outline the vision and reality.

PSD2 & SCA: The next 18 months

  • We’re now in the EBA’s period of ‘supervisory flexibility’. What does this mean and how can solutions providers and merchants come together over the next 18 months to better secure the ecommerce economy?

Public Sector Payments:

  • Having spoken to over 200 public sector organisations at both national and local level over the past 9 months, it is clear that this sector has some of the biggest challenges in payment acceptance. If you can solve things for the citizen/consumer across the variety of payments channels in this sector, you can solve it anywhere.

Payment Security: Protecting the Customer Experience

  • Fifteen years on from its first release, the PCI Data Security Standard is still the centrepiece of protecting sensitive payment data for the majority of merchant payments globally. As version 4 of the standard is released, Jeremy King, International Director of the PCI Security Standards Council will bring solutions providers and merchants up to date with developments.
