Global Blue Since introducing the concept of Tax Free Shopping over thirty years ago, Global Blue has acquired a unique understanding of the needs of international shoppers. We call them ‘globe shoppers’ and there are more of them than ever, spending more money than ever. More than 270,000 of the world’s favourite retailers, shopping brands and hotels already partnered with us in over 40 countries and more than 55,000 globe shoppers use our services every single day. We offer a wide range of services to help globe shoppers
save money on everything they buy when they are in foreign countries, and to
help merchants and banks increase their revenues from the lucrative traveller
market. As well as Tax Free Shopping, these services include Currency
Choice, Academy, Intelligence, Marketing Services, One Interface and
Consulting. Dynamic Currency Choice service allows foreign
customers to pay in their credit card currency, instead of the local currency,
at the point of purchase. Currency Choice is available when your foreign
customer pays with Visa, MasterCard or Maestro, and it supports most major
currencies. It allows you to offer your customers the peace of mind that comes
from paying in the currency they understand, and provides you with commission
on every transaction. The Currency Choice Best Rate scheme ensures the
traveller a best rate of exchange at the time of purchase when using the DCC
service or a refund for the difference. Our research shows that merchants who
participate in this scheme see a 10% increase in customer opt-in rates and
results are measurable with regular, detailed performance reports. The
Currency Choice Process Currency
Choice integrates seamlessly into your payment system, and is the most
straight-forward, user-friendly brand of Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) on
the market. With Currency Choice, transactions take just three simple steps. Step 1 –

automatically detect eligibility fir DCC and calculate the price of the item in
the card holder’s currency, based on the very latest exchange rates. Step 2 –

complete the payment as normal. Step 3 –
